Cascading style sheet and SEO: Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) are widely used to build fast-loading, standards-compliant, easily modifiable web pages. It allows separating presentation (layout, color scheme) and the actual content to be separated. In addition to these capabilities, CSS can provide some compelling SEO/SEM benefits. These include:

  • Moving important content — especially the unique text that you want the page to rank for (ex: hosted exchange, web hosting) , along with any related links — to the top of the HTML file. This is probably the single most important reason for using CSS from an SEO perspective, and can have a significant impact on rankings.
  • Separation of the code and content makes the page “lighter” in weight, and decreasing the code-to-content ratio. This can make entire site easier and more efficient to crawl by search engine spiders, leading to more and better indexing of your site’s content.
  • Using standard HTML tags, such as <h1>, which search engines recognize as indicators of important content, instead of <font> tags
  • Using standard HTML tags, such as <ul> and <a> to construct menus that contain standard HTML links to other important areas of your site. This makes these links easily discoverable by search engines, helping ensure more efficient and deeper crawling of your site.
  • In order to test how the website is view by search engine spiders, a Linux web browser called lynx can be used. It gives the accurate picture of how the website content is viewed by spiders and can be helpful tool to clean up the

    Html Structure and SEO

  • In order for better SEO results html to content ratio should be carefully measured. Following the World Wide Web consortium (http://www.w3.org) standards ensure a properly parsed website by search engines.
  • Ensure higher text content to HTML tags ratio. Search engines will only read a certain amount of a page. If pages are filled with excessive HTML code, they will not see all the text content.
  • Page title: Google uses the title tag in its link to site in its search results. Title weighted quite heavily since it’s a short description of the page

  • Meta tags: Most important tags are ‘keywords’ and description. Google ignores these tags but inktomi-based search engines such as yahoo place still considers these tags in their algorithm.

  • Page Heading: Both Google and yahoo search engines puts emphasis on their search algorithm h1 tags.
  • Page URL: Page URL should include a keyword or a phrase that mentions the pages content. Any query strings should be avoided from a content page. Having meaningful URL’s affectively increases the page relevance to the search engine bots.
  • JavaScript if used shouldn’t be included in the source code
  • CSS if used shouldn’t be included in the source code, any CSS code that may be used should be attached externally
  • No session IDs should be used in the source code
  • URLs should be masked and should not contain any query strings. Any dynamic URL that is used in the links should identify the content of the webpage corresponding to the URL.
  • Website shouldn’t use any frames of any kind.
  • Flash use should be kept to minimum.
  • Design should be done by organic SEO best practices in mind. (title pages, meta tags, keyword density, search engine friendly URLs)

Stand alone Security Cameras are reliable and cheaper on the short run but more expensive when you need more storage for longer periods of recording and harder to upgrade and not expandable.

Also storage for PC-based DVR systems is cheaper than the stand-alone DVRs. As storage for pc hardware prices shrinks; you will be able to expand on the pc-based security dvr system compared to stand-alone dvr. In most cases Pc based security DVRs offer as much as six times more storage. If you were to add more cameras to your store you would need to buy and entire new system whereas PC based DVRs system only requires to add new capture card (generally pc-based DVR systems supports 4-8-16-32 cameras)

Also PC based DVRs comes with a lot more features and can easily be integrated to other devices such as alarm systems and Point of sale devices. Also PC-based security cameras handle better online streaming.

The PC-based DVR would offer superior characteristics such as better reception of playback programs, colored bars for easy search, and up to times better speed, CD-ROM burner, DVD burner and easily external hard drives.

On the other hand Stand-alone DVRs are more less prone to software related failure since the underlying operating system would be safer linux systems . Unlike PC-based DVRs; they are more immune to be infected by viruses, worms and variety of web based attacks.

Stand-alone DVRs are generally less expensive than the pc-based counter parts. This does not reflect thedifference on the quality of the pc-based to stand-alone DVRs, this is simply because stand-alone DVRs doesn’t require Windows Operating systems which itself can cost up $150 and because of its modest but user friendly feature set.

Buying a security dvr system should be done carefully by evaluating and weighting your needs. If you require additional information and evaluate your needs for your home or business, please contact us without hesitation.
